Editorial Policy

Accuracy

We check every rule, date and amount against official sources, including the European Commission, EUR-Lex, the Council of the EU and national customs authorities, and we link to those sources in the article. When something is announced but not yet final, we say so.

Updates and corrections

Each article shows its last updated date. When rules change we update the article and the EU Rule Change Tracker. If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the correction at the end of the article.

Contributors

Contributor articles are written by named professionals and reviewed and fact-checked by our editors before publishing. Contributors may not pay to influence editorial articles. Links in contributor articles are marked nofollow ugc.

Sponsored content and advertising

Paid content is published in the Sponsored category, carries a “Sponsored post” label at the top, and its links are marked sponsored. Advertisers have no say over our editorial coverage.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help research and draft articles. A person reviews every article and checks its facts against the linked sources before it is published.

Not advice

EUCBT publishes general information, not legal, tax or customs advice. Rules can apply differently depending on your products, sales channels and countries. Check with a qualified adviser before acting.
